Golden Raisin

Iranian Golden raisins are mostly produced in East Azerbaijan province. The color of this variety ranges from yellow or golden or greenish yellow to light amber with a predominating yellow or golden color. They are dipped, shade dried and sulfur treated with a SO2 content limited to well below 2000ppm. Due to the sulfur treatment, Golden raisins have a unique almost smoky and tart aftertaste which is favored by many especially in the Arabian and Eastern cuisine
